Dr. Schreiber received his Bachelor of Science from MIT and his MD from the University of Maryland Medical School. Upon graduation, Dr. Schreiber continued his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Maryland Hospital.

He practices with medicine with his wife, Dr. Beverly Kelsey who is an internist.

He has published research on topics ranging from disorders of the esophagus to biliary tract conditions. He also has given many lectures and grand rounds across the state of Maryland in the field of gastroenterology.

Dr. Schreiber's awards include the Healthcare for the Homeless Service Award in 2001, and the Health Care Heroes Award from the Daily Record in 2010.
